Set up AdNeuron in Claude

Connect AdNeuron to Claude and ask about your Google Ads and Meta Ads performance, spend and budgets in a conversation. Setup takes a few minutes and needs no API keys: you sign in with your AdNeuron account.

Last updated October 16, 2026

Before you begin

You need

  • An AdNeuron account (the free plan works) with a Google Ads account connected and synced. Meta Ads is available on request.
  • A Claude account on any plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise an Owner adds the connector first.

No AdNeuron account yet? Create one free.

Connect AdNeuron

  1. 1

    Open Connectors

In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors (in the desktop app, select Customize in the sidebar, then Connectors) and choose Add custom connector.
  2. 2

    Enter the AdNeuron server

Name it AdNeuron and enter this server URL:
    https://mcp.adneuron.ai/mcp
  3. 3

    Choose how Claude signs in

For authentication choose Sign in now, and for the OAuth client choose Register automatically. If your dialog instead shows Advanced settings with an OAuth client ID and secret, leave them empty. No API key or request header is needed. Click Add.
  4. 4

    Sign in to AdNeuron

An AdNeuron sign-in page opens. Sign in, choose the workspace Claude should use, review the access requested and click Allow. AdNeuron is then listed under Your connectors as Connected.
  5. 5

Turn it on in a chat

In a chat, click + in the message box, open Connectors and turn on AdNeuron.
Add the connector on the web or in the desktop app; it then works in the Claude mobile app too.

Test the connection

Start a new chat with AdNeuron turned on and send:

Prompt
List my connected AdNeuron ad accounts.

You should see your connected Google Ads (and Meta Ads) accounts. If Claude asks to use an AdNeuron tool, choose Allow once or Always allow. If Claude answers without using AdNeuron, see Troubleshooting.

What you can do

Once connected, Claude can use AdNeuron to:

Accounts and connectionsList your connected ad accounts and the Google Ads accounts your sign-in can access, check connection health, and get a link to connect an ad account.
PerformanceSpend, clicks, impressions and results for 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, per account and in total, with the dates and currency used.
CampaignsRank campaigns by spend, clicks, conversions or ROAS, and compare Google Ads with Meta Ads.
Changes over timeExplain why a metric moved, comparing the latest period with the one before.
BudgetsReview every budget across accounts, including shared budgets, and which campaigns each one funds.
Waste and connection healthFind campaigns spending without results and check the token status and last sync of your connected ad platforms.
PlanningResearch keywords, get conservative, moderate and aggressive budget options for a keyword set, and pick a Google Ads campaign type (needs a connected Google Ads account).
Your AdNeuron accountCheck plan limits and usage, and read your saved brand profile.

Meta conversions, leads and ROAS are reported as unavailable rather than zero while AdNeuron verifies them. Reports cover complete days in each ad account's own time zone and currency, and say which dates they cover.

Example prompts

"How did my ads do in the last 30 days?"

Spend, clicks, results and dates per account

"Which campaigns got the most clicks last month?"

Campaign ranking for the same dates

"Compare Google Ads and Meta Ads for the last 7 days."

Platforms side by side

"Why did my clicks drop this week?"

This week against the week before

"Where am I wasting ad spend?"

Campaigns spending without results

"How many AdNeuron calls have I used this month?"

Your plan usage (free to check)

Tool permissions

AdNeuron labels each tool by what it does. Claude can run reporting tools without asking each time, and asks before tools that create a link or make a change. To set this yourself, go to Customize → Connectors → AdNeuron and, under Tool permissions, choose Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked for each tool. We suggest Always allow for reporting tools and Needs approval for anything that creates a link or makes a change.

How changes work

AdNeuron manages campaigns and budgets, and every change needs your explicit approval before it runs. When you ask Claude for a change that is not available through AdNeuron yet, Claude tells you and explains how to make it in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager.

Team and Enterprise

An Owner adds AdNeuron for the organization once; each member then connects.

  1. 1

    Owner: add the connector

Go to Organization settings → Connectors, select Add, then Custom (choose Web if asked). Enter the server URL above, leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty, and click Add.
  2. 2

    Members: connect

Each member opens Customize → Connectors, finds AdNeuron with the Custom label and clicks Connect, then signs in with their own AdNeuron account and chooses their workspace.
Agencies: keep one AdNeuron workspace per client. Each person chooses the client workspace when they sign in, and Claude only sees that workspace's accounts.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

›Which Claude plans can use AdNeuron?
Every plan: Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it first (see Team and Enterprise).
›Sign-in fails or Claude says it can't reach AdNeuron
Remove AdNeuron (Customize → Connectors → AdNeuron → three-dot menu → Remove) and add it again. When asked how Claude identifies itself, choose Register automatically. If the connector row shows Reconnect, select it and sign in again.
›Claude answers without using AdNeuron
Click + in the message box, open Connectors and make sure AdNeuron is on for this chat. Mention AdNeuron in your question, and approve the tool call if Claude asks. Check that no AdNeuron tool is set to Blocked under Tool permissions.
›Does it work on mobile and in Claude Code?
Yes. A connector added on claude.ai or in the desktop app also works in the Claude mobile app, and in Claude Code when you sign in with your Claude account. You can also add it to Claude Code directly (see the Claude Code tab above).
›Claude sees no ad accounts
Connect an account in the AdNeuron dashboard and run Sync now. Claude only sees connected, synced accounts in the workspace you chose when you signed in.
›The monthly limit is reached
Your plan's tool calls reset at the start of each month, or you can change plans on the Pricing page. Listing accounts, checking connections and checking usage don't count.
›Can I use AdNeuron with more than one client workspace?
Claude connects to one AdNeuron workspace at a time, the one you choose when you sign in. To switch, disconnect AdNeuron and connect again, choosing the other workspace.

Disconnect

To remove Claude's access, go to Customize → Connectors → AdNeuron and select Disconnect (you can sign in again later), or use the three-dot menu and select Remove. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner removes it for everyone in Organization settings → Connectors. To stop AdNeuron reading an ad account, disconnect that account in the AdNeuron dashboard.

Privacy and support

Claude receives an access token for the one workspace you chose and the results of the AdNeuron tools it calls. AdNeuron never receives your Google or Facebook password. See the Privacy Policy for what we store and how to request deletion. Need help? Visit Support or email support@adneuron.ai with your workspace name; never send passwords, API keys or access tokens.
