Set up AdNeuron in ChatGPT

Connect AdNeuron to ChatGPT and ask about your Google Ads and Meta Ads performance, spend and budgets in a conversation. Setup takes a few minutes and needs no API keys: you sign in with your AdNeuron account.

Last updated October 16, 2026

Before you begin

You need

  • An AdNeuron account (the free plan works) with a Google Ads account connected and synced. Meta Ads is available on request.
  • ChatGPT on the web. Full access needs ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu; on Pro, ChatGPT can view reports but not make changes. Workspace permissions apply.

No AdNeuron account yet? Create one free.

Connect AdNeuron

  1. 1

    Open Plugins

In ChatGPT, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), select + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. 2

    Enter the AdNeuron server

Name it AdNeuron and, under Connection, enter this server URL:
    https://mcp.adneuron.ai/mcp
  3. 3

    Choose OAuth

For authentication choose OAuth. No API key, client ID or secret is needed: ChatGPT registers itself with AdNeuron.
  4. 4

    Confirm and create

Review the warning, select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
  5. 5

    Sign in to AdNeuron

An AdNeuron sign-in page opens. Sign in, choose the workspace ChatGPT should use, review the access requested and click Allow. Manage campaigns and Manage budgets start selected; untick either to leave it out. They let ChatGPT ask for a change, and each change still needs your approval or confirmation.
Add the server directly rather than importing a plugin package: imported packages run only in the ChatGPT desktop app.

Test the connection

Start a new chat, type @, pick AdNeuron and send:

Prompt
List my connected AdNeuron ad accounts.

You should see your connected Google Ads (and Meta Ads) accounts. If ChatGPT asks to confirm a tool call, approve it. If it answers without using AdNeuron, see Troubleshooting.

What you can do

Once connected, ChatGPT can use AdNeuron to:

Accounts and connectionsList your connected ad accounts and the Google Ads accounts your sign-in can access, check connection health, and get a link to connect an ad account.
PerformanceSpend, clicks, impressions and results for 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, per account and in total, with the dates and currency used.
CampaignsRank campaigns by spend, clicks, conversions or ROAS, and compare Google Ads with Meta Ads.
Changes over timeExplain why a metric moved, comparing the latest period with the one before.
BudgetsReview every budget across accounts, including shared budgets, and which campaigns each one funds.
Waste and connection healthFind campaigns spending without results and check the token status and last sync of your connected ad platforms.
PlanningResearch keywords, get conservative, moderate and aggressive budget options for a keyword set, and pick a Google Ads campaign type (needs a connected Google Ads account).
Your AdNeuron accountCheck plan limits and usage, and read your saved brand profile.

Meta conversions, leads and ROAS are reported as unavailable rather than zero while AdNeuron verifies them. Reports cover complete days in each ad account's own time zone and currency, and say which dates they cover.

Example prompts

"How much did I spend in the last 7 days?"

Spend per account with dates and currency

"Which campaigns got the most clicks last month?"

Campaign ranking for the same dates

"Compare Google Ads and Meta Ads for the last 30 days."

Platforms side by side

"Why did my clicks drop this week?"

This week against the week before

"Where am I wasting ad spend?"

Campaigns spending without results

"How many AdNeuron calls have I used this month?"

Your plan usage (free to check)

How changes work

AdNeuron manages campaigns and budgets, and every change needs your explicit approval before it runs. When you ask ChatGPT for a change that is not available through AdNeuron yet, ChatGPT tells you and explains how to make it in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager.

Business, Enterprise and Edu

In a ChatGPT workspace, admins and owners decide which custom MCP servers members can use. An admin or owner (on Enterprise and Edu, also an authorized developer) adds AdNeuron with the steps above, tests it, and can then publish it for the workspace. Each member then signs in with their own AdNeuron account and chooses their workspace. Enterprise and Edu admins can also limit access by role.

Agencies: keep one AdNeuron workspace per client. Each person chooses the client workspace when they sign in, and ChatGPT only sees that workspace's accounts.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

›Which ChatGPT plans can use AdNeuron?
Full access needs ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu. On Pro, ChatGPT can view reports but not make changes. Your workspace's permissions also apply (see Business, Enterprise and Edu).
›Sign-in fails or ChatGPT says it can't reach AdNeuron
Remove AdNeuron from your plugins and add it again with a fresh setup; ChatGPT then starts a fresh OAuth sign-in. Make sure OAuth is selected and no client ID or secret is entered.
›ChatGPT answers without using AdNeuron
Start a new chat, type @ and pick AdNeuron before your question, or mention AdNeuron by name. If ChatGPT asks to confirm a tool call, approve it.
›ChatGPT sees no ad accounts
Connect an account in the AdNeuron dashboard and run Sync now. ChatGPT only sees connected, synced accounts in the workspace you chose when you signed in.
›The monthly limit is reached
Your plan's tool calls reset at the start of each month, or you can change plans on the Pricing page. Listing accounts, checking connections and checking usage don't count.
›Can I use AdNeuron with more than one client workspace?
ChatGPT connects to one AdNeuron workspace at a time, the one you choose when you sign in. To switch, disconnect AdNeuron and connect again, choosing the other workspace.

Disconnect

To remove ChatGPT's access, open Plugins in ChatGPT and remove AdNeuron. To stop AdNeuron reading an ad account, disconnect that account in the AdNeuron dashboard.

Privacy and support

ChatGPT receives an access token for the one workspace you chose and the results of the AdNeuron tools it calls. AdNeuron never receives your Google or Facebook password. See the Privacy Policy for what we store and how to request deletion. Need help? Visit Support or email support@adneuron.ai with your workspace name; never send passwords, API keys or access tokens.
